Idi Amin was the president of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. He murdered several different ethinic groups and innocent citizens throughout his presidency. Amin was known to rule directly but have abrupt mood swings that highly impacted his decisions. Also, he was extreme in nationalism. These characteristics are thought to have impacted the way the way he ruled Uganda. He ordered attack on Tanzania in October of 1978. After this occurance, his troops were overpowered and Amin fled the city of Kampla. He was later found in Saudi Arabia where he eventually died. |
